Scott Schuette
Tour Leader
Scott is a lifelong birder growing up in the outdoors of rural Missouri, the son of a naturalist at a local state park where he spent much of his youth learning about every aspect of the world around him. His passion for birds, wildlife, nature, and travel has been with him ever since and has led him to some of the most amazing places across all seven continents. A degree in Environmental Science from the University of Arizona was followed by short-term positions as a field biologist and extensive international travel before turning his attention to nature tourism.
A seven-year stint as a guide and then as Tour Director on St. Paul Island, Alaska, was followed by more guiding in Arizona, Costa Rica, Portugal, and well beyond. He now resides in southern Sweden with his family and works primarily as an Ornithologist on expedition vessels, visiting all seven continents and all of the world’s oceans where he has the honor of presenting some of this planet’s least visited sites by sea and land. Sharing the unique experiences that await us outdoors is what he finds most appealing about nature tourism, well that and the chance to continue exploring the Earth’s magnificent wild areas.
