Belize: Rare Raptors & Yucatan Endemics

April 10 - 17, 2024

With Joshua Covill and Roni Martinez

The perfect intro to birding the tropics, Belize's small size, good infrastructure, vibrant culture, and vast protected lands make it both manageable and exotic. That English is the official language also helps. Most important to us, a good number of regional endemics and rare raptors reside here.

This short, comfortable tour is designed to give us a great shot at as many rare raptors and Yucatan specials as possible. Many of these are not easily found outside of Belize. So whether you are considering this as your first tour abroad, or if you're already a seasoned traveler, this tour holds great promise. We'll seek the Yucatan Jay, Ocellated Turkey, Orange-breasted Falcon, Stygian Owl, and Black-and-White Hawk-Eagle, among many more.
